Coach Justin Swallie is a longtime educator and baseball coach in the Hilliard City School District. He teaches Social Studies at Hilliard Weaver Middle School and has spent two decades coaching high school baseball in Hilliard.
A graduate of Hilliard Darby High School, Coach Swallie played under Coach Chris Fugitt before continuing his academic and baseball career at Otterbein University, where he played for four years under Head Coach George Powell.
Following his time at Otterbein, Coach Swallie began his coaching career with the freshman team at Hilliard Davidson High School under Head Coach Jim Dougherty. He later served as a varsity assistant coach at Hilliard Bradley High School for two seasons under Head Coach Matt Gilkerson before returning to Hilliard Davidson as a varsity assistant under Hall of Fame Coach Jim Dougherty.
Coach Swallie became Head Coach at Hilliard Davidson High School following Coach Dougherty’s retirement and has held that position since 2014.
Coach Dave Swallie is a longtime educator and baseball coach in the Hilliard community. After a distinguished career in education, Dave is now retired from teaching but continues to serve as an assistant coach, sharing his experience and passion for the game with Davidson baseball players.
Dave has coached baseball at multiple levels within Hilliard City Schools and is widely respected for his leadership, mentorship, and commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field. His influence on the program spans generations of players and coaches.
Dave enjoys spending time with his wife Julie, their family, and supporting baseball in the community.
Coach Brooks Hunton serves as a varsity assistant coach at Hilliard Davidson High School. Prior to joining the Davidson staff, he coached at Dublin Coffman High School, where he worked as an assistant coach under Tim Saunders.
A graduate of Dublin Coffman High School, Coach Hunton was an All-Ohio baseball player during his senior season. He continued his baseball career at Lincoln Trail College and Austin Peay State University before earning a degree in Health Sciences.
Outside of coaching, Coach Hunton works as a Territory Executive in the medical sales industry. He lives in Hilliard with his wife, Shanna, and their daughter, Kyndall.
Coach Hunton is passionate about helping Davidson players continue to develop their skills while becoming positive and respected members of the Hilliard community.
Coach Matt Martin is a member of the Hilliard Davidson baseball coaching staff. Prior to joining Davidson, he coached baseball at his alma mater, St. Charles Preparatory School, and also served as a junior varsity boys basketball coach at Hilliard Davidson.
In addition to coaching, Coach Martin is an Intervention Specialist at Weaver Middle School.
He lives in Hilliard with his wife, Ally, their daughter, Maren, and their dog, Murphy.
Coach Colin Kaucher is a member of the Hilliard Davidson baseball coaching staff, working with hitters and catchers while assisting in other areas of the program.
Coach Kaucher played collegiately at Ohio Dominican University, where he helped lead the Panthers to back-to-back 30-win seasons and the program’s first NCAA Regional appearance. He graduated as one of the most decorated players of ODU’s Division II era, finishing his career with a .378 batting average, .457 on-base percentage, and .552 slugging percentage. Over 195 games, he recorded 271 hits, 19 home runs, 184 RBIs, 49 doubles, nine triples, and 20 stolen bases.
During his career, Coach Kaucher was a three-time All-Conference selection and earned All-Region and All-American honors. He was also recognized as an Academic All-American.
Coach Kaucher earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ohio Dominican University and later completed a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Sport Management. Originally from Toledo, Ohio, he currently resides in Hilliard.
Coach Ryan Yoder serves as the Head JVA Coach at Hilliard Davidson High School.
A graduate of Hilliard Davidson High School, Coach Yoder was a standout baseball player, finishing his senior season with a .385 batting average and a .939 OPS. He continued his academic career at The Ohio State University, earning a degree in History, followed by a Master of Education from Ohio State.
In addition to coaching, Coach Yoder works as a Social Studies teacher at Hilliard Weaver Middle School.
Coach Yoder lives in Columbus and is committed to helping players grow both on and off the field, with a focus on development, accountability, and preparing athletes for future success at the varsity level.
Coach Jon Perez serves as the Head JVB Coach at Hilliard Davidson High School.
A graduate of Lorain Admiral King High School, Coach Perez was a two-time varsity captain and a Lorain County All-Star. He earned Honorable Mention All-League recognition during his senior season. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Toledo and later earned a Master’s degree in Teaching from Otterbein University.
In addition to coaching, Coach Perez works as an Intervention Specialist at Heritage Middle School.
Coach Perez lives in Columbus with his wife, Christina, and their two sons. He is passionate about sharing his love of baseball while helping Davidson players prepare for success throughout their high school careers and beyond.
Coach Chad Glassbrenner is a member of the Hilliard Davidson baseball coaching staff.
In addition to coaching, he is a middle school math teacher and a pitching and hitting instructor at Bat Flip Baseball. A father of three, Coach Glassbrenner brings energy, knowledge, and enthusiasm to the program.
